No. There are the seasonal events. Every two weeks, they upload a few more sets of races. There are trials, where you don't win anything other than your name on a high score list (i don't care about that) and there are bonus races where you went hundreds of thousands to millions of credits.

I take it you had to register on their site in order to get to the seasonal races, or am I going to wrong places on the game?

That happened to my neighbor with Halo Reach. He was waaaaayy up there and his 360 lost it all. Microsoft support laughed at him whne he called them for help.
