            Maybe he doesn't have the latest version of Jelly Bean or newer? I'm borrowing my dads old Droid Razr and it doesn't have that option either.

              Not sure. I think the note 2 came with 4.1.1 at least when it was released.

                                Been on battery since 5am, very heavy usage, streaming TuneIn since 7am, auto brightness and poor signal area... 17%@11:55am

                                I won't complain, I'd have completely killed my OG Note in 1hr using it like I have this Nexus 5.
