How to pull songs from iTunes to load on another computer?

Situation - I have a new iphone that is sync'd to my laptop, which has no songs in my itunes at all. They are all on my wife's computer.

How can I copy songs from her computer to load to my itunes without having to burn to cd? I've heard there is a root folder you can go to and copy them to an external driver to transfer, but I have no clue how to go about this.

Any of you have the know how to help a brotha out?

If you go into iTunes you should be able to right click on a song and find the source folder and copy it from there, I used to do it that way anyways. I would then put it on a thumb drive or external hd.

I'm not great with technology so I don't know if that what you want to do or if it even works anymore.

If they happen to be purchased on iTunes, enable home sharing-go to purchased-click "not on this computer"-download all.

Got that far but when clicking "not on this computer", it says "all of your available music has been downloaded to this computer"?

Have you tried exporting it from iTunes? I had to do this a couple of years back but it was on a PC. I can try it on my Mac when I get home this afternoon but I'm pretty sure you should be able to export it.
