Shocking, a Pro-Android post on Google Plus. But I do agree with most all of it. I picked up an S4 last month and it's been the best I've had in years.

For what it's worth, the problem with losing the contents of his post was the fault of the app, not the OS.

The rest of that stuff, yeah, the great thing about Android is that the OS itself is so open to its apps. But one of the bad things about Android is that the OS itself is so open to its apps. Android trusts its apps to a fault, while iOS distrusts its apps to a fault.

I wrote an Android app to listen for text messages meeting a certain criteria and set off an alarm if they're received (or not received by a certain time). It lets me know when a critical program failed or wasn't run at 5 AM every morning instead of having to actually check my email every freaking morning. I couldn't do this with iOS...but a malicious app can't read your text messages, either.
