I'm curious if these batteries drain over time. I.e. lose there strength? I've had it since may? And I swear it has lessened in duration. Thanks! Also, if that is the case,. whats a good more powerful battery replacement. Thanks.

Yes they will degrade, however, it shouldn't happen that quickly. Call your carrier and have them send you a replacement, keep it on hand and charged or use it exclusively.
Another thing to consider, you may have an app running or sending a wakelock and the cpu isn't goin into deep sleep. Install Cpu Spy, use as normal, after an hour or so, open it and see what cpu states it's been in.
Keep in mind that if you're using it and the screen isn't turned off, it'll never sleep.

Any recommendations for another app that can check the condition of your battery and how it's charging? I seem to remember stumbling across one but I haven't had any luck searching for one on the Play Store.
I'll have to check out CPU Spy myself because I'm having battery issues myself and I think it happened after I upgraded to Jelly Bean. Typically I was getting close to 20-24 hours of battery life. That's pretty much been cut in half now

40% of a charge cycle, the cpu is in its lowest power state, the others are marginally higher and you're not doin much that's cpu intensive.
The first also means there likely isn't an app sending a signal to the os to keep the cpu awake(wake lock) and that's good thing.

Run the battery all the way dead, then charge overnight until full with out turning the phone back on. I do this every now and then to reset the amount it charges the battery.
Seems to help and after a year of use I still see the same battery life from my phone1971 Ford Torino - Time to go bigger and better.

I stumbled across this article on XDA-Forums and thought it was good explanation for those having battery problems on Android.
