  • New Routers, time to go AC?

My router finally crapped out, and looking at different options. I'm looking at routers that can do 802.11ac to try and stay up to date. Any recommendations?

Do you want to invest in NICs that'll utilize it?

Eventually, the only thing that uses WiFi now are cell phones and friends laptop's.

        Just ordered the WD AC1300

$100 isn't bad, and the reviews weren't terrible.

AC is very distance oriented, if you need that kind of speed you mine as well ( for now ) just use a cable.

I've been rocking a netgear AC when then first came out. I can get a signal on my laptop out in my barn nearly 300' away, Quick at that.
