  • Linux question (tty)

I upgraded my gpu in my Ubuntu box, so I installed it. Switched tty, killed lightdm, installed latest nvidia drivers, ran nvidia-xconfig, restarted lightdm and I was basically up and running.
After a reboot though, i'm unable to switch to a new tty as all it shows is a blinking cursor now.

I guess I could google this shit and work on it over the weekend, but I was just curious if anyone had any ideas.

edit: I just purged all nvidia drivers and installed nvidia-current. works now

The 319 drivers are having major problems all over the place, from regular video play such as youtube to in games. Download the 320 beta drivers and it should fix your problem.

I'm on 304 which is Nvidia-Current. I'll check out the 320's here in a few, thanks homey.
