  • The best, free, ipod music app on Cydia or Appstore?

So, I have a ton of music on my iPod gen4. (30+ gigs). Some of the music I've never listened to because I don't know it is there. Can anyone suggest a "music explorer" type app that I can use to discover new music on my device?

Discovering new music for music you already own? 30 gigs = a ton? Not to be an asshole, but there's a lot of foolishness going on in this thread.

Put the sucker in shuffle mode or, i dunno, actually sort through it for five minutes.

Shuffle is too random, I've tried it. Also, all things are relative. 30gigs is a lot TO ME. I've been ripping CD's so nice the mid 90s and have been lucky enough to keep it all. So yeah, I have stuff I don't know I have. Regardless, 5 minutes isn't going to show me a thing and I don't have the hours it would take to go song by song. Or, for that matter, I'd like to "stumble" across a B side song and find I like it.
        Make sense?

No, it still doesn't make sense. Guess it's because either I'm not a casual music listener or I have some weird crazy brain that remembers just about everything (2500+ CDs) that I have. Good luck in your quest. Hope you find something worthwhile!

Other than Shuffle, I use the iTunes Genius List to create playlists of songs. Not perfect but gives me a list of songs I might enjoy with some of it I hadn't heard before from the music I've downloaded/ripped. I also try to rate my music so I know what I like and what I should delete. It also gives me an idea if I've listened to the music before or not.
