Mgs 5

Basically, MGS4 is one of my favorite games of all time and this installment is such a departure from it and other MGS games that it fails to capture any of the MGS spirit.

The controls are full retard, and you cannot switch fire/aim to L1 and R1 (my pet peeve).
Voice acting is fucked, with all characters sounding the same. Keifer Sutherland as Snake was a fucking terrible casting call, so was the voice actor for Ocelot.
Also, there are no real guns in the game. Everything (including 100 year old designs) go by completely different names which is weird as hell. I liked the whole interactive gun porn aspect of MGS4.
The microtransactions to build up your base is dumb, as is the whole "you have to research shit to get new guns".
The game is stat oriented like a damn final fantasy game too.
Lastly, the actual action and shooting dynamics are horrid and the game is stuck somewhere between budget shooter and shit-tier RPG.

He's right about the Base building bullshit, that does suck. You can thank Konami for that.

I don't play with a control, so i'm using mouse/kb and the controls don't seem to bug me at all. I do have around 20 hrs in GZ, so I had plenty time to get used to them.

Hayter being replaced by Kiefer sucks for sure, but it was Kojimi's call and that man has a direct vision.

With that said, I'm having a fucking blast with the game.

edit: I will say, that going through the menus with wasd is fucking straight up retarded. I sincerely hope that's patched eventually, along with the pop up controls showing xbox buttons instead of m/kb. Such as when the game tells you to walk, it shows the R joystick however I don't even have my xb1 controller plugged in. GZ did this too though.

my coworker said the same thing. i'm spending my time with this doing all the side ops and upgrading my base/items.

until dawn took up a good two/three days of my gameplay time. that's a great game too.
