Tuning is pretty close to forza 4 except for tire pressure. I usually set my tire pressure to around 27-28 for the best grip. If you want to buy tunes just go to load tuning set up and it will bring up the top tunes for your car. I would look for tunes by tuned by worm or tg takumi. Worms tunes are really good handling and easy to drive just not a lot of speed. Takumi usually only uploads tunes for leaderboard cars and are fast all around but harder to control. If anyone has any questions about tuning or build setups or just one to do some racing my gt is boostedfd

Go in and change everything normally. Tuning makes the car do what you want it to do. for most cars, you can add a couple degrees of camber and caster on the front, and either stiffen up the springs or the sway bars, add a bit to the shocks. finally got a wheel that works on all platforms. logitech didnt work with xbox.
perhaps now i can finally give forza 4 (5 later when i get an xbox one) a fair shake.
dont mind my ghetto mounting arrangement. it's all i have for now but it works well.

Usually the go-to would be a logitech g27. It comes with wheel w/paddles, a shifter and 3 pedal setup. It can be bought in retail stores or found on amazon sometimes as low as $229 shipped. BUT the bad news is it doesn't work on xbox, just PC and PS3.
I think options for xbox are pretty limited so you would probably be looking at products from Fanatec.
Fanatec makes some extremely solid products. aluminum throughout, belt driven wheels, load cell brake pedals, etc. The bad thing is they are in Germany and don't have the support that a giant company like Logitech offers. I know some people online complained of issues with their products but it seems to be pretty stable now with their current product lines.
So, with Fanatec you can mix and match. For xbox you would need:
Wheel: Forza Motorsport CSR wheel ($200) (pictured in my post above)
After that you have your choice of pedals. They have 3 options, CSR ($80), CSR Elite ($150), and Clubsport V2 ($250). I would recommend the Elite (pictured in my post above) pedals as a nice upgrade over the CSR pedals.
That's all you need ($280-$350 retail). The wheel has nice gear paddles but you can add a shifter if you wish. The CSR Shifter set has 2 different shifters you can change out. up/down sequential or h pattern 6 speed + reverse. The shifter is pretty good, takes a good bit of force and gives a nice positive shift feel.
They sell the wheel, elite pedals, and the shifter set as a bundle for $360. The bad thing is they charge shipping which brings it to right around $400.

i've owned the cheaper logitech now for a few years now and always liked it. has made any gt and F1 game i play so much better.
two of my friends tried my setup, they both bought the newer/nicer logitech g27 setup for $230. i've done a few races in their setups and liked it. the wheel is pretty similar but the pedals have better stiffer springs and the paddles were much nicer. the h pattern on the g27 doesnt feel great but it works and makes the game so much more fun.
i decided i was going to upgrade to the same but after thinking about it i wanted one for all platforms since forza 5 has my eye down the road. flipped around ebay and this came up. did a buy it now and have no regrets.
the wheel feels excellent in hand and while steering the belt driven wheel is so smooth.
the wheel has some onboard system to make profiles between car types and games so you can change settings on the fly. the h patter shifter on this is much better than the g27. but the pièce de résistance is the pedals. the brake pedal isnt a potentiometer style but rather a load cell so the braking depends on the force rather than distance. with just a night of tweeking my setup i was able to turn off ABS which is my last assist in these games.
the next thing i need now is a proper mounting solution especially if i get into computer racing games. (asseto corsa)www.hppmotorsports.com
