  • Anyone know about NOC generators?

Im not really involved in this project, but its aggravating me just hearing all the ignorance, with no drive to find a solution. Let's say you want to put a generator on a roof of a building in downtown. Can you get permits to run diesiel up the building? Natty gas is out because there isnt any in downtown. What about hydrogen? lol

    Fuckin right.
    What size gen?
The belly tank should store enough fuel to run and a fuel polishing system can supply more if needed.

Some buildings downtown dallas would prob be shaken to the point of destruction if all of their rooftop units were simultaneously running.

They bought a half built NOC, that has a generator on the roof, but no fuel supply. Im not sure on size. I just know it doesnt have a fuel supply.

Is there any existing infrastructure design documentation?

Somewhere along the lines that generator was specified for their system and this has most likely been discussed before.

Are there any complications with a transfer/fill tank occupying a footprint on the ground level?

This is one of those deals where you better hire some professionals, consult with them, give them marching orders and then manage their progress.

You'll have to deal with city and building maintenance which sometimes is worst than city. I avoid this work at all costs. (even just PM'ing it.)

Its a 225 kW, not sure how old. It needs tanks installed, and a cage, or enclosure built for it.

Anyone know a fire suppression installation company? lol

None, they need to add one.

Pretty much. The backup solution is only for NOC/DC, and not for the entire floor.

The main thing was to find someone that does that sort of thing. They are soon to be accepting bids on various jobs to get the new location up and working.

The current generator is around 50 years old. lol
