Why does Netflix look like crap on my TV

I have a Samsung 55" plasma and stream Netflix through my Xbox 360 using HDMI cables. I've noticed the picture looks like straight up crap. I also have Time Warner Cable with 24.82 Mb up and .98 Mb down. Any ideas on what the issue might be? Just watching a regular non-HD channel is waaaay better that what streams across.

Hmmm is your xbox hardwired to your router or are using Wifi?

good question...hard wired.

And now that I think about it. The download speed was on a hard wired pc. Both the PC and the Xbox are hard wired into a Linksys wireless router that is fed from TW's cable modem

Games and cable TV both look good. I noticed it while watching several shows of The Walking Dead and another movie or two. Other than The Walking Dead, I don't really watch Netflix that much so I'll have to randomly check other shows.

Sounds like you might be just getting it in SD or 480i and with it on a 55" it's going to be super stretched. I have a 50" and netflix looked like crap.

my bad... I have a 50", not a 55".

Sometimes when I start a stream it looks very pixelated but then clears itself up. Have you tried pausing it for a few minutes to let it buffer?
