Well, it looks like one of my video cards took a dump.
    Time to upgrade.

Thinking about a whole new system.

Not sure if I want to build one again, but I'm looking at spending $1500-$2,000.

    What would you guys get?

That's a pretty hefty budget, what are your primary uses?

      Video games!

I'm just not sure I want to put the time and effort into building another machine.

I can build you one. Do you have any parts that can be reused or would it be totally new?

Edit:Why not just replace the gpu's?

I wouldnt mind keeping the case, i have two new SSD hard drives I never installed.

I usually upgrade things when they break, so I think it's about time. I've had this machine for 1.5 years or so, maybe longer.

Is that enough ram this day and age?

Yes. On my FX8120 rig, I have Folding@Home and 2 user accounts running concurrently with guys remoted in compiling Android and still don't use all the ram. But if you want more, it's just more money.

                  I gotcha.

That video card looks like a beast.
I play planet side 2, so the $150 in game is kind of interesting.

What case do you have, it may not support that cooler since it has a 240MM rad.

                        You're golden.

To speak to the gpu choice, best practices dictate that you purchase the most powerful card you can within the allotted budget.

                        What psu do you have?

I'm pretty sure one is dead, and the other is OK.

Yeah, those 550's are mid range at best, video cards. You'll enjoy the 6 series should you go that route.
