  • laptop wont power on

its a dell laptop...let my computer go into sleep mode....came back to it and the screen wouldnt come back on..held down the button to power it off...when i tried to turn it back on only the power light comes on and it seems dim, and i hear NOOO sound from the hard drive powering up or anything...Searched google and it said to unplug the power cable, take the battery out then hold down the power button for 45-60sec...reinstall battery and plug it back in and it still does the same thing...i have tried 2 different power cables...nothing!

Unplug it, take the battery out then hold the power button down for 5 seconds. Then put the battery back. And power on.

Picture recovery is simple if you have another pc.

This, except I've heard it can take up to a minute to discharge all the caps.

                Have you tried hitting it?

Pulling pics off of it is pretty easy like Bryan said...using another computer. Depending on what model it is you might also be able to pull the CMOS battery out which will set the bios back to default settings (MIGHT solve the problem). Try pulling out the memory and reinstalling them. What part of town are you in? Don't give up on it just yet.

Can it go into the BIOS?
