Touch screen monitors

We recently upgraded our Point of Sale operating system and it has touch screen capabilities. Which monitors seem to hold up the best? What is a decent monitor costing these days?

Will this actually streamline anything? I've liked almost everything else with touch screen, but everything else has been quite a bit more complicated.

Can't help you on monitor suggestions, but the streamlining will have to come from the programming itself, and not just by adding a touchscreen. By that I mean that there would have to be a way to cut down the number of key strokes and/or mouse clicks.
