HTC digitizer?

How often do these crap out? I've had my EVO 3d just under a year and its taking a dump, I took it to sprint and am waiting for a replacement. I'd like an s III but I'm not due for an upgrade for another year.

Randomly. A friend of mine had to replace his digitizer as well as screen...but of course he is very rough on phones.

It's also a cheap part to reaplce, buy the part off ebay. If you know how.

Mine had been dropped a few times but nothing major, no screen damage. We'll see if its replacement can make it a year.

Good question. I'm letting sprint replace it, I have insurance on it.

Dawn and i haven't had any problems with ours but they have both been in an otterbox defender case since day one....
