I'm working on a shitty old 1280x1024 screen at my office, I was thinking about picking up some cheap widescreen (at least 1680x1050) to make my life a little easier at work. I don't need a quick response gaming monitor or anything like that. Any place around here? Been browsing craigslist lately, hadn't seen much.

keep an eye on newegg as they've been running some excellent black november deals. walmart will be running some ridiculous black friday deals on electronics, if you're willing to subject yourself to the chaos. sams and costco are cheapest brick 'n mortar route on electronics in this area. lately, sams club has been cheaper than newegg and amazon on smaller lcds.

You must be looking for something thats FREE...or you aren't paying attention on Craigslist. I see them all the damn time. I paid $159 for my 24" LED backlit 1080P HDTV (yep...its a TV but works great as a monitor and as a plus has much better built in speakers than most monitors).
