  • male and female vga

    if the back of my computer has a male and female port, does this mean my computer will support 2 monitors? do i need an adapter to make it work? female vga to vgi for instance?

              those are pins not holes. the pic makes it look like a female connection but it is definitely male. i see now that a vga has the rows of pins while this is only 2 rows

                  Its a serial connector. I don't think there is much use for it anymore. Not for videos.

                      before posting i was trying to read up on this. i know it is pretty much plug and play. but from my understanding, i need a video card that has two different ports on it right? splitting the one existing port into two cords will only give me the same image twice and not extend my desktop right?

                        If all your wanting is an additional monitor for desktop space, I'd go this route.
