    God of War III

    Any advice on playing this game. Picked it up from gamestop yesterday, and no manual or anything. Just the disk. I just made it to the top of the mountain past the first check point.

    Don't really understand the special power things or the chest with the red/blue/green powers.

    Thanks for any help in advance.

    You're best bet would be just to pick up a strategy guide if you're needing help that early!

        I looked at the wiki, but it doesn't really tell you anything about gameplay.

          No offence but GOW 3 is a mindless linear video game that 5 year olds have no problem playing and beating. On that thought what seems to be the problem? lol

            Thanks for the insult. I don't understand the different color powers that come out of the treasure chest.

              Orbs are the most common type of item in the God of War series. There are five different types, and Kratos can find them in many ways. He can find them by smashing containers and other breakable objects with his blades, by killing enemies, and by finding and opening chests. Different types of orbs also do different things when collected. Red orbs are the most common type of orb, and they're used to level up Kratos' weapons and magic powers.                 Not an insult just poking fun!

                Red orbs full up your exp bar in wich you spend to buy new powers and weapon attacks.

                Green orbs are health.

                Blue orbs give you magic.

                  I'm actually playing god of war 1-3 and both PsP titles right now. Or working on them....
