You get used it. Took me about a month. Probably would have taken less without the Otterbox which adds about 1/4" all around the device. I much prefer it without the OB, but I drop mine a shitload of times.

I don't know what kind of George Costanza size wallet you are carrying around but my iphone is about 1/4" in width smaller than my wallet and is about a half an inch longer than it........

I've got a simple $10 TPU case from Amazon. It's done a nice job of protecting it during the 10+ times it's been dropped and kicked out of my hand.
