  • Well, I think I accidentally got converted

From a PS3 fan, to an xbox fan. A buddy's girlfriend won a 250gb with Kinect through a raffle at work. She wasn't too happy about it, but he sure was. lol

So we sat around and played Forza 3 while drinking the other night. I'm pretty sure I like Forza better than GT5. It seems more realistic, I like the ability to feather the gas/brake better than the all or nothing of the PS3, and the in car seems much more realistic with body roll, leaning, loss of traction, etc. It's damn near impossible to drive GT5 with the in car view. First, like 60% of the screen is taken up to dash, gauge cluster, a pillar, etc. Forza seemed to have more vision/screen display. And in GT5, when in the in car view, the physics just aren't right, car doesn't respond right, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not selling the PS3 or anything, but I'll be picking up an xbox very soon. As far as I'm concerned, PS3 still has the best FPS game on the market, and it's exclusive to PS (Socom).

"try it, you might like it!"

Did you get a chance to play any other 360 games?

They are both good systems. I currently have a PS3, but I have had two 360's. A 360 is worth it for Halo 3, Gears of war 1 and 2 alone.

I think all the systems have a lil to offer everyone!

I've always liked Forza better than GT. The car damage, the amount of play you can do with the garage, the paint. etc... You can however feather the throttle in GT... the buttons are pressure sensitive and have been since ps2...just easier with the xbox because the gas and brake are your triggers.

As for Socom... its a TPS, and it hasn't been good since #2... Confrontation is pure shit, hopefully they improve on S4.

Whoever did Confrontation was not the normal developer. I can't remember who the normal one is, or who did Confrontation, but they are supposedly going back to the original.

Confrontation was still better than MW2, Black Ops, BFBC2, etc.

And, speak for yourself. They say they are pressure sensitive. On my 4th PS3, and the only pressure they sense is "on" or "off".

Absolutely. The car responds the way it should from the in car view. You can visualize body roll, etc. When you hit the titties, imagine, the car slows down. Way the fuck down. Like it should be.

In GT5, and all previous GTs, you can drive in the sand, grass, etc. No loss of speed to speak of. As long as you kept the ass end from coming around, you'd be fine. As for the titties on GT5, they might as well be non existent. And don't get me wrong, I like GT5. I just think Forza is more realistic, and the physics seem to be better. Granted, my experience with Forza is limited.

I already have it for PS3, so when I do get an xbox that's one I won't be buying.

Let me know when you can make a car oversteer in forza.

I was playing black ops last night at about 2am and it showed 351,000+ players online. I think the most I ever saw it on the PSN when WaW was the new CoD was MAYBE 200,000 on the weekends. At night time on the weekdays it was more like 40-80 thousand. I don't know shit about the Forza or GT games, but it seems that the xbox is still the preferred gaming console for most people. Not to take away from the PS3 though, which is an awesome console itself.

xbox has the better GUI IMO alot smoother too. Triggers on the controllers are better, IMO has better gaming choices. The only game that really catches my attention on ps3 are the killzone titles. I have both systems btw.

Have you actually played any of the killzone games? The first one was ok, until I hit the beach level where there is a crate inserted onto a walkway that you have to use to complete the level. Did some research and found that this was a common problem with a lot of the games. Killzone 2 is visually impressive, but the gameplay is pretty bad. Basically you take cover for 10 minutes, and pop up to kill a couple people only to realize that the bad guys almost always keep coming until you run through their lines and hit a check point. I never played multiplayer on it, but with the physics of the game I can only imagine it being pretty bad.

Yes I have, they aren't perfect but what I meant by my post was that out of the proprietary ps3 games those would be the most appealing to me. The controls aren't as tight as say CoD or BC2 neither is gameplay but I would rather play that than something like MAG. Some would say little big planet but I have not played that so i cannot comment on that.
