I just looked at one of those for my neighbor. His mom got it just a year ago and the main board crapped out on it just after the 1yr warranty ran out. After opening it up and working on it felt very cheaply made.

I'd suggest an extended warranty or looking at other models but that based on my own experience with that model Dell.
