I plugged in my iPhone and was prompted to "restore iPhone" so I clicked on it.

I didn't realize that it would erase ALL 500 OR SO OF MY CONTACTS!!!!


Can this be undone?

You should be able to re sync it to your computer and get all the stuff back

I have the phone connected to iTunes, but I can't find the screen to get to setting up the iPhone to "restore from the back up of - iPhone".

Sometimes you will need to plug it in a few times, or restart and try again. Mine used to give me all sorts of hell with itunes not seeing it while it was plugged in.

If you hit restore in iTunes it should ask you if you wanna restore from a backup. Or as a new phone.

So if I restore it, it then gives me the option to replace the contacts?

I have loaded 64 contacts back in the phone. I would hate to lose them and start all over again.

When you choose to restore, you can choose an old backup. just verify the dates.
do you have a mac or pc?
why not just sync them with address book or whatever, that way you have a back up.
