  • phone ppl.. Razr MAX VS Galaxy SIII

im looking for a new Verizon phone to replace my BB as a work phone.

The MAX and the SIII seem to be the 2 best choices.
I need it to work well as a phone ( the BB SUCKS as a phone.. shitty speaker.. shitty keys) but i love it for typing emails.

The new phone needs to have a good email/calendar integration with Outlook and have a decent mail client.

So far I love my sIII and it's been great so far. I know with the SIII and Im sure the Max you can download the Outlook app. I don't use the outlook calendar so I wouldnt know how good it syncs up with it.

razr if your main concern is battery life.
If you don't care about that, the gs3/gnexus is a better phone.

The SII feels like a child's toy to me, and has about the same build quality to boot. Unless they fixed that with the SIII, I wouldn't touch it.

They're big phones made light weight and thin, and out of plastic.
It's not going to feel like a metal case phone.

I actually prefer not feeling like i'm carrying the weight of a brick in my packet. One is already loaded down with keys, pocket knife, zippo. Sure as shit don't need the other one trying to see who can out weigh the scales of justic.

Nothing but problems with my gf's s2 skyrocket. She will click on her text messages and it opens up the phone screen her phone randomly turns off and many other issues. They released the ice cream sandwich update for it, I downloaded the official samsung software and in the middle of the update it errored out and bricked the phone. I spent 45 minutes on the phone last night because they tried to charge me 150 dollars to fix it. I had the original galaxy s and that phone sucks too

I was pretty happy with my SGS2 Skyrocket, and same with my SGS3. Spec wise though look at the facts; the screen on the Maxx is inferior to the SGS3 and s4/2gb ram > a9/1gb ram.

                        and now a Galaxy Nexus.

Loved every single one of them. The only ones i haven't liked were the piece of shit Captivate on AT&T, and T-Mobile Vibrant/4g Galaxy S.

WIth the exception of those two, the rest were great, solid operating devices.

I had the Galaxy, my wife got the Razr Maxx. I took the Galaxy back two days later and paid the re-stocking fee to swap it out for the Razr. Haven't looked back

Stay away from the razr if you actually care about the operating system. Motorola has been slow to provide any updates on anything. The battery life on the S3 should be enough for most people and its developer friendly.
