Log in account disappeaared

My mother in-law has 2 user accounts on a Win 7 box. All of a sudden her account is gone. She can still see her documents and all. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Has anyone else has physical access to the computer? Is it in a common or secure area?

See if they are really gone, check c:\users\

She and the father in-law are the only ones who use it. She is going to check this in a little bit. Also she can not get antivirus to open so she is in safe mode now running a scan.Thanks

Well she tried that and it did not work. She also tried the c:\user\ and when she opens a dos box it says c:\users\ralph and wont let her type anything. Thanks for the help.

Also she tried to add an account and it will not let her. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
