  • Weird HTC Inspire problem

I've had my Inspire for a little over a year and it has always done weird shit. I added this one to the list after my recent vacation.

So I went to Vegas last week and stayed at the MGM. Once I got in my room, my phone started randomly turning off then turning back on. It would do this once an hour for the entire 4-day period I was there. It didn't matter if it was plugged in or not, it still did it. Since I've been back, it's been fine.

So what, besides too much hookers and blow, would cause a phone to just randomly restart itself every hour?

The Inspire is a retarded phone. I hate mine right now. Mine seems to have some weird issue sometimes with swype and other stuff that does vibrate on keypress. Sometimes it will do a long vibrate and then stop and won't vibrate until I reset it.

While we're airing out our grievances, I'll list everything that is fucked up on this phone:

      1. Weird restarting problem stated above.

      2. Sometimes when I add a contact to my address book, they don't appear in the address book. I have to go to "contacts" then "search" to find the person. But they don't appear in the normal list that I can browse through.

      3. For some reason some of my contacts show their Facebook status when I browse through the address book, but the status is from like 6-9 months ago. It hasn't updated since.

      4. Every once in a while my phone will freeze and I'll have to remove the battery to turn it off. This has happened probably 5 times.

Not to mention this is my second Inspire because my first one turned off and wouldn't turn back on. I loved this phone when I first got it but I'm ready for a new one. I really like the HTC features but I don't know if it's worth the asspain.

I've been having a lot of problems as of late. It's driving me nuts. Thinking of upgrading to the Galaxy Note.

The majority of problems people have w/their devices are due to carriers getting their grubby hands on the firmware and adding their crap or modifying it.

Of the 3 Inspires I've dealt with, none of the issues yall express were present on the custom roms the developers made.

The only and I mean ONLY issue I ever experienced was a know problem with the Gps that was due to a manufacturing flaw.

Why did you get rid of yours if you only had 1 problem?

Tired of the poor Gps was the main factor, aside from that, just wanted something new and the Note happened to be what the devs in our group were moving to.
