  • Alright I am tired of the Fresh ROM for my Evo

    I've had enough. I updated my radios (3g and wimax) and I still get terrible speeds. Of course part of the blame is on Sprints craptastic network, but all that aside;

    What is an awesome ROM for the EVO? I prefer something that will help my battery along (Fresh gave me about 14 hours run time), but I want to get out of 2.2 and move at least to honeycomb.

    I'm running 2.3 using CyanogenMod 7 and it runs pretty good. Can't comment much on the battery because I have one of those 4100mah double capacity batteries and with moderate use (listening to music, surfing frequently, GPS, wifi, and quite a bit of talking) I can go for about 18 hours before it starts telling me it needs to be charged. If I just leave it on standby and hardly use it I would say it can go for 2 or 3 days.

      Does that battery require one of those extension covers?

        It came with the battery as well as a new silicone/rubber case (I bought it used on Craigslist). The phone is definitely thinner with the OEM battery even in my Otterbox case but I prefer to keep the larger battery installed because I can use the phone pretty much as I please with almost no concern of the battery going dead.
