  • Budget iRacing Rig

Anyone have any recommendations on putting together a little budget PC to use almost exclusively for iRacing? Their literature seems to suggest that it'll run on just about anything recent (Core 2 or better, NVidia GeForce 7800 / ATI Radeon X1800 or better and 2 GB of RAM is their minimum spec).

I'm just trying to keep the cost as low as possible so I can spend more on the membership and a good wheel/pedal setup. Used/clearance parts wouldn't bother me at all, and I'd be perfectly fine with buying a run of the mill tower and throwing a graphics cards, PSU, and some RAM in there if I can. Doesn't have to be capable of running Crysis at crystal clear levels, but it'd be nice if it'd keep up with any following iterations of iRacing over the next few years.

    I have a Biostar TP-HP 45 LGA775 mobo, Q6600 G0 stepping proc, 2 Gigs G Skill DDR2-800 and GTX 260 I'd let go for 200. I have a spare 2.5 Sata HDD I could throw in there but no case or PSU I can part w/.
