Ad Blcking for rooted users

DL and install Titanium Backup(TiBu) and ES File Explorer then dl this folder. Place the three files in the folder on internal sd via ES File Explorer called Titanium Backup. Open TiBu, locate AdAway and touch it, select Restore then App+Data.

Go to your app drawer and open AdAway, touch Download files and apply ad blocking. When it finishes, restart your phone and ads should be gone from everything. If by chance they aren't, post the app name and I'll locate the server and post the line to add to the blacklist.

You don't get the extensive hosts sources I've compiled nor the black/white lists to prevent problems w/some legit sites that get blocked.

I may have to give that a try. Adfree has worked pretty good so far, but the host file.updates are coming less.frequent.

Yeah that was why I was so concerned with root in that other discussion we had I wanted adfree to work
