  • Sprint 4G LTE network rollout date?

I was talking with the reps from my local store (for whatever use that is) and they were telling me they expect to start the rollout in DFW around the 17th of this month. Anyone confirm?

Just putting it out there in case you weren't aware or anyone else reading didn't know about that site.

I would gather from clues on other articles he posted over the weekend (mainly the SA article), Sprint originally stated they would flip the switch once 50% of the towers were upgraded but have since decided to go forward with less towers so they can meet the mid 2012 launch. Just based on the number of sited DFW has online already, plus what's on the planned map for June, I would assume it would launch at the same time or shortly after SA... which June 17th sounds like a reasonable date.

I was under the impression that NV already had their towers broadcasting LTE but Sprint hasn't made the switch yet.

The LTE towers are everywhere, all over the DFW metroplex, they are just not activated yet.

I was told by our old sales rep (we've since moved our legacy employees who were on Sprint over to ATT where we have everyone else on) and he told me/us it would be mid 2012 and would be ready for the launch of the Evo 4gLTE.

exactly. that's why I created the sprint thread in the back porch. I'm wondering if I fucked up with getting my sgs3 with them or if I should go to t-mobile. but now t-mobile is back-ordered until the 27th and verizon is back-ordered until the 10th of july.

The only store in DFW tomorrow that will have the SGS3 (tmobile) is the one in murphy.

Once LTE is up and running and NOT crap (like WiMax) is, I am getting the Evo LTE. I just hope it's as good as Verizons LTE...

I have the Droid Razr Maxx and this phone is a pimp. LTE is on 24/7 and the battery lasts 2.5 days. Why Sprint....why?

They need to hurry it up already. I have had this EVO LTE now for a little over two weeks...awesome phone, but the 3g is terrible.

3G sucks indeed. I was on the phone with them last night trying to see about updating PRL Profiles resetting Network etc..
