cant access windows firewall....

Ok, I have win7 x64 and am running microsoft security essentials as my anti virus. The PC and anti virus is up to date with all updates. I found out yesterday that I am having a problem with my windows firewall when I tried to run a program that needs permission from it to operate correctly. It has failed to work and when I looked at the programs log it gives me this error "Error opening windows firewall 0x80070005 so I then went to the actual windows firewall and clicked on advanced settings and I got this...

"The windows firewall with advanced snap-in failed to load. Restart the windows firewall service on the computer that you are managing. Error code: 0x6D9"

I have tried everything, how the hell do I get control of my firewall back?

I have already done all the google searching trying to fix it and have had no luck. I am hoping the redneck can help me.

what would it be listed under in that menu? I cant find anything there that has anything to do with the firewall. I also tried that fix it link and I followed through it and it did not work either.

That worked and I have access and control to my firewall again. Still did not fix my issue with the other program but at least I can control my firewall now.

it was bittorrent, a reboot after all that stuff I did in the link and a bit torrent version upgrade and i am now in business.

How the hell do I get on newsgroups instead of bittorrent?
