Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

New CoD coming in November. They're going futuristic for this one. Not quite Halo futuristic, but something like 20 years from now futuristic. Looks pretty cool, and is supposed to be more updated than we've seen with the other recent CoD's. People have been wanting a real update for a couple of games now, but I hope they didn't change it so much that they screw up the game play style. I'll be giving CoD $60 more, just like I'll be doing every November for the rest of my life I fear.

Agreed. I'm not going to buy another COD game until some big changes are made. I've seen some gameplay videos and it just looks to be more of the same with a different theme. I'll pass on this one.

It is not like it will hurt the franchise to completely re-tool the gameplay. Everyone and their brother is going to buy it no matter what. They did that in cod4, changed everything from cod3. I thought cod4 was awesome.

I buy em all to play the single player and side missions. I suck assholes on multiplayer anyway, so I could care less if they change it any, just give me new AI missions to fight through and Im good.

Oh and I hope they make this one 7.1, but probably wont since it hasn't completely caught on yet. Uncharted 3 is in 7.1 and it fucken owns soundtrack wise.

I hear this a lot and see several arguments between COD and BF but have yet to see an argument that outlines the primary complaints about the game play. What is it that you or others do not like about the game play? I have played them all and they are all different to some degree; go from MW3 to Black ops or MW2 and just look at the graphics, the way your character moves across the screen and the sounds.

I for some reason do really well on COD games as I only play games online for the MP, don’t really get into the story anymore since I had GOOD i-net installed. Anyways, just curious what people see as the opportunities for improvement within the franchise.

I'm with you. I still play the COD (Whatever the version was where they were in Russia) because I only play once every several months.

I just hope they keep most of the stuff from Black Ops and don't take any cues from MW3 since it sucked balls. I do love Black Ops though and still play it a few days a week so I have high hopes for the new one. I will say it's no longer a blind buy on day 1 like they used to be, I will have to rent it first or something.

The gfx were a little bad for a demo. I think that the hardware is getting too old now. MMOs have more realistic looking stuff, and that's tough to do.

I'm in favor of a future war CoD, but if it was up to me I would of done it differently. It would be cool to see a "government collapse" scenario. There could be a left over military story alongside a civilian guerilla warfare story. That way they could keep the military weapons, and create a whole new set of civilian weapons like hunting rifles and such. Throw in character customization, and you could even create a character who looks like you. There's a lot of different stuff you could do with a storyline like that.

Either that or a wild west CoD.

I don't consider myself a lemming for buying a game that gives me hours of entertainment every week. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't buy it. I love that they come out with a new variation every year. As much as I play CoD it is totally worth $60 a year to me.
