I bought this back in January to connect 3 of my computers, and last month it started messing up during boot. It would take forever to detect the USB keyboard and mouse, and while it was trying to detect them, the keyboard was totally unresponsive (num/caps/scroll lock lights wouldn't toggle, couldn't get into BIOS). The switch still toggled the display between computers correctly, but I couldn't use it for the keyboard and mouse.

I can't find any other reports of this, but I'm wondering if this is a problem with this model, or the lower-end stuff, or I just got a bad one - before I replace it with the same model, something from the same price range, or a nicer one (we have 3 or 4 of these at work, and haven't had any issues in the 2 years I've been there). Thoughts?

Did it do it with one specific PC/server/device?

No, it did it on all 3 - two different ASUS motherboards, and another that I can't remember the manufacturer off the top of my head.
