My old twite modem I got from Att years ago finally died on me. I purchased a new NetGear that I couldn't get to work properly and couldn't get any support from Att or the people from NetGear. The problem was that the internet kept going off line as well as my wireless printer. When I would power of my laptop or printer, I would have to reconnect my printer and sometimes my computer. I ended up buying another modem router from Att so if these problems happened again, I could get some help. Well, I installed it but I still have these problems. Could it have anything to do with my wpa 2 or channel?

Long story short, if you're in a house without competing radios the default channel (usually 6) is fine. For the purpose of this discussion, if you have competing radios around you, and they are all on 6 - use channel 11 or 1. ...etc. Find the weakest channel and use it basically.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Edit: For the record, probably a waste of time anyway. Sounding like bad hardware or something somewhere. Channel problems like that usually show more along the lines of performance problems.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
