Biggest thing I did to cut down on battery life usage was to set things like email to only check for emails every 1-2 hours instead of every 10-15 min. I also run my advanced task killer to kill everything except messages and task killer every 30 min, that was a huge battery saver right there.

Open up task killer and press your menu button, should bring you into the program settings. You can then select Auto Kill and set the duration of how often you want that to run and what apps you don't want it to kill.

I like Opera Mini for web browsing. It's pretty fast. Skyfire is a pretty good web browser also.
For sports scores I use Live Scores.

Yeah it can, i downloaded a program called B&B Quick Uninstall just for that. You don't have to download anything to uninstall a program, I just don't like the default uninstaller.

Yes, menu, settings, applications, manage applications, all tab, click on the one you want and pick uninstall. You can also go to the app drawer, hold down the app you want til the home screen pops up, drag it down to the trash bin, hold it until it says drop to uninstall.
