I gave him a pretty good idea, but I don't know if he's done anything with it, yet.

Why in the hell are you people running task killers? If you're using an Evo then you should be running Froyo at the bare minimum, Froyo manages memory on its own, natively. You don't need ATK, ATM, or any of that.

^Gingerbread, stock battery, no task killer.

You must not use your phone much that or it's a very high cap battery compared to my Aria. I can kill mine in a couple hrs browsin and talkin.

I think GSM maybe harder on batteries than CDMA but don't know for sure.

1500 maH, CDMA is harder on batteries. I've also deleted all the bloatware and I'm running a very light ROM. I can kill mine in an hour playin 3d games and what not but usually I just stream Pandora/Grooveshark over Bluetooth, play Wordfeud, and lots of texting.

I'm usin CM7 ATM and there's no bloat in it but the light part, I dunno. If I don't use it mush, I could go a couple days but I abuse, use wise, my phone. The one it replaced(SE C905) had something like 5 months of talktime on it in the year it was in use. I also brows the web a LOT.

I've tried with and without, without the task killer gives me better battery life, you just have to calm down the apps that use data to update themselves all the time. It looks like tyler was barely using his phone based on the display percentage. Here's a screenshot from a few weeks ago of my battery life with pretty heavy use.

Yeah, TK's do kill battery life since the apps restart once you kill them. It's constantly usin CPU cycles rather than letting them "sleep".

I read a good article about them a few weeks back and I confirmed their findings. I now use Watchdog to monitor stuff and if something gets outta my defined threshold, I can kill it or ignore.

I have one I'm in the middle of, and 2 raw ideas, and then the ports of those to iPhone, so, yeah...

I'm looking into it now and trying to figure out how straightforward it'll be. The hard part is my phone doesn't have the hardware for it

Yeah, I know. The person that brought it up in the first place has a mytouch 4g. I don't think anyone even offers something like what I talked about on the market yet.

Words with friends just came out. It's a little buggy but at least it can be played now.
