    ...

I had a Galaxy Skyrocket, which I loved, for about 3 weeks. I traded it in for a Note. I am glad I traded. The larger screen is better and I can browse the web or email without pinching and zooming. Even with heavier use, the battery will get me through the day.
The battery life is about the same as the Skyrocket.

It will fit right in my shirt pocket.

My coworkers raz me about how large it is, though. I think they are secretly jealous.

If yall will sign up and join Palringo, the devs foe that ROM can be found by searching for the chat room "theandroidcollective". There are folks there that will likely help walk yall through the hacking process too

All in all, they're a great group of people. Let 'em know that I sent you.

Well from everything i've read, it's quite the opposite with Android phones, that's why i'm chompin at the bit to do it.

It's not that hard once you get used to it.

I want to bring this thread back. I pick this up about 8 months ago and I find myself using it alot more that I used to the last couple of months and the battery is not lasting the whole day.

What are some options for to extend battery life, app suggestions are welcome and I if rooting and or installing a new rom are what it takes thats fine if I can find some info on it.

Turning wi-fi off when not in use/connected is a big battery saver.

Not sure if roms help save on battery life (I'm sure they do in some capacity), but I'm real happy with this'n:

With the stock keyboard, you can set it for one handed operation and pick which side, left or right, that you want it on.

I'll be honest, with heavy use, I can kill the battery in short order, especially when on mobile data. Now on WiFi, I can go most of the day and have 4+hrs screen on time.

One of the best things you can do to extend battery life is to turn the auto brightness off and set it to full dim, unless are going to be in very bright environments that would prevent your being able to read the display.
