Laptop wifi antenna?

I have a new Asus laptop. Is there a product that works well to amplify a wifi signal. I just moved to an apartment and there is an ATT hotspot but I can't get a full signal and the Internet options are limited here in Lubbock.

The antennas in a wi-fi enabled laptop are built into the top left and right corner of the screen. That's about as good as it gets, unless you want to try USB wireless card. I doubt that is going to help. You simply have too much distance and structure between you and the apartment run wireless access point. You can't do much about that, if it's not your equipment.

netgear makes a usb port plug in that is pretty damn cheap and it increases my wifi on my laptop 2-3 bars
