okay, i know i am eating my own words by saying i would never go contract... but this old tired & true iphone 3g is getting to show it's age. it's time for an upgrade! now one thing that i am certain about is that i am going to stay with att due to how much i pay, so switching carriers is out of the question
i like the 4s because i really like my iphone and have used my friends 4s several times and it was what i expected. ...but i must admit the having to pay for apps and itunes is kid of annoying. especially when i dont have a computer of my own(using friends itunes account)
when it comes to the s2 i have been impressed with what i have seen but am still skeptical due to my horrible experience with my htc hero with sprint a couple years ago. i know the htc hero came preloaded with a BUNCH of bullshit apps/programs that i never used. after reading online i heard if you ''rooted'' the phone you could clean all of it out and it ran a bit better. sounds easy enough but i don't have a comp at home or the elite haxorz skills to do that. can the same be said about the s2? is it gonna be preloaded with a bunch of shit that i dont want and slows it down?
i am the kind of person who likes my phone/cars/computer/stuff stripped down to the minimum, that way i can add things that i want and only what i want. as far as uses i will use it to talk/txt/surf the web/use as music player in car&home/take pics&vids and maybe play some games from time to time. now i know both phones can do these things very well but my main concern is that not only can it do it but i do not want any kind of lagging or freezing, that is an instant no go for me.
so i'm asking you guys that know the insides & outs of both phones, which is a better pick for me? the iphone where i can just turn it on and go, or the s2 where i will need to ''trim it down'' to make it where i want it?
please dont be a fanboi, both phones are great phones, i just need help figuring out which is better for me in the longrun. so saying one is better just cause makes you look like a brand loyal queer...
