thanks for the replies guys, i wanted to start a thread in the back porch but i knew it would turn into an apple-android argument. putting it in here gave me the answers i wanted to know ...and from the looks of it i'll be making the switch to android
after reading that article, is the galaxy nexus better than the s2 and worth the 2 month wait? or is the differences not that great for someone using an old 3g?

I went from the 3S to the SGS2 and it is a nice phone. I still prefer media and the email client on iOS. Also it takes some time to find and get used to an android keyboard. It's amazing how easy the iOS keyboard is to use even with a lot less screen space.
I could go through a lot of pros and cons, but really you can't go wrong with any top tier Android phone or the 4s.

I'm on sprint and went from the Evo 4G that I had for over a year to the iphone 4S, and I would not go back. It's just a lot easier to use, and I wanted a smaller phone as well. I was an android lover and always stated how the app market was so much better cause of the free apps, but I have pretty much all the same apps on this phone now and haven't paid a dime. plus the battery life is tons better, and if the battery ever takes a crap, I get it replaced free via my Black Tie Protection at best buy. Shit loads more accessories for an iphone than a android phone as well, since there's so many different models of android phones out there.HD Parts

I personally switched from a 3gs to an HTC vision. Personally I hate it! But I am stuck with it. I would go 4s. When I bought mine all they had available was the 64gb iPhone so I wasnt planning on spending $400 on a phone. The iphone is much simpler to use, Ive had a bunch of trouble with sending and receiving pictures, the touch screen sucks ass you have to touch just above what you intend to hit or it will type the wrong letter or wrong link. Imo it is the biggest pos I have ever bought. I completely regret purchasing it and should have waited. If I take it back I will be out a $50 otter box case, and $25 screen protector plus an additional $50 restocking fee.. at that I could have almost bought the 64 gb so its not worth it at this point.. the very only thing good is the internet is super fast.and the camera is great. Otherwise a huge POS!!
