i've had my iphone 4 for a little over a year...the home button was starting to get to the point where it would work great sometimes, and sometimes you would have to press it a few times. i took it to the apple store, to see what they would charge to try to fix it...they replaced my phone with a new one (new, not a refurb), free. the phone was even jailbroken, and they didn't care. they said that my warranty was out, but i was close enough (maybe 13 months old), that they didn't have a problem replacing it. that really surprised me. feel free to post up about how (insert phone here) is better than the iphone, but that was some excellent customer service! you don't see that much these days!

ya they did that for me too on my iphone 4. mine was out of warranty by 47 days and 45 days was their cut off.

i didn't even reailize that it had a 1-year warranty...i thought it was 90 days, for some reason. even so, most people wouldn't do anything for you if it's a day out of warranty.

That's exactly what's happening on mine. Have to hit home a couple times for it to work. I might swing by the store later on.

the store was packed (and i got there about 20min before my appointment), but they were right on time, and the whole process took less than 10mins.

i went the one in stonebriar in frisco....they pretty much told me to hit the road. so i had the home button fixed at iphone doctor. Ive had my phone maybe about 7 months but since i had a little scuff on the bottom of it they pretty much told me i had caused the damage to it and they could not do anything for me.

i went to the one in southlake...my cousin went to the store in plano (willow bend), and they gave him a replacement as well...he was having the same home button problem.

Went this morning to the one in Stonebriar mall and was impressed. Told the guy what was happening and what all I did to try to fix my self. I couldn't get the damn phone to duplicate the problem after it was acting up before I got there..... He said since I was still under the warranty that he can replace the phone, which he did.

stonebriar replaced mine without a hitch. Apple service was top notch except one rude bitch.

The Apple store replaced my Ipad with a brand new model after I dropped it. The screen was completely black, the background light would come on but nothing else worked. I took it to the store told them what happened. I walked out 20 minutes later with a new one.
