so I am trying to find a better performing video card for my new desktop. It's PCIe and I am looking or something that can handle two monitors (one with the white dvi cable and one with the blue 9 pin).
New system is an i7 3.4ghz based setup with a lot of good stuff in it but I cheaped out and bought a very low end AMD card ($25 at newegg) to just get the system up and running while I figured out which video card I wanted. Video speed is dragging the system down according to benchmark program. I'm looking at available cards on newegg and I am lost by so many different cards available and not much time to do the research.
Looking for something that is in the $80-150 range that can do the dual monitors, not have the constant screen issues of the cards I am reading about and can kick out good performance on games. Running two 19" monitors at 1280x1024.
Ideally looking for a 256 bit card with DDR5 ram...might spend more if good reviews.
Most of what I am reading on reviews at newegg is there are several brands that are having cards go bad in a matter of weeks and serious driver issues that cause screen problems. Looking to see what you guys have had good luck with and maybe get a solid suggestion.
