xbox360 hdd ?S

i have multiple 360's and want to upgrade one of my kids 20g to 160g laptop hdd i have. anyone know if i can put the 160 in the drive case and then use the transfer cable and software from xbox to transfer the info?

i have 2 20 hdd systems and want to upgrade just one

i know you can do a single with the hack software but i dont want to go that route if i dont have to.

I don't know for a fact but I don't think they use a laptop hdd like ps3's do. You can buy used 120gigs for relatively cheap I believe. Or you can buy an external HD and use that through the USB port.

well i know they use a 3.5" hdd, the main thing i have been trying to find out is there a way to tranfer my kids stuff from his 20g to a 160g i have laying around.

didnt know if you can install the 160 in the drive "cage" and then use the transfer kit to move his info over.

i have his and my other sons "cages"

i dont really want to do it the youtube way, but i may have to.
