What platform are you using, I've played MW3 and BF3 both on PC and BF3 is way harder.

I'd say Cod is " Harder" because the game layout is stupid. Terrible spawn problems, bunch of people running around, no tactical elements, small straightforward maps.

I don't like playing TDM, and it seems in COD series all the little snot nosed brats are only worried about racking up kills no matter what game mode they are playing. They appear to not know how to do anything but spray a pray, with no regard for the objectives. Perhaps it's the people I play with on BF3, but it's much more team and objective oriented. Which requires people to play smarter, not harder, and that makes all the difference in the world.

You have a point, if I played objective games I would probably prefer bf3. I'm all about hardcore tdm on cod. I just want it strait up me vs you, kill or be killed. Those spray n pray kids don't have much of a chance when you're the quickest shot on the map

PS3. In bf you have so much more time to think things out, the game pace is much slower. Jumping into tanks n such was fun at first, but got old. I like the pure man vs man combat of cod. I can see why some people prefer bf. Imo though, cod is quite a bit more challenging and more realistic.

First off I said it was "more" realistic than bf3, not that it "was" realistic. Besides not just anyone can call in an airstrike at any time, you have to earn it through man vs man kills. I don't see what's un-realistic about an airstrike anyways, you don't think airstrikes get called in during battles? In bf3 there's idiots flying around in vehicles everywhere like chickens with their heads cut off, and you can't do simple things like going prone. They're both video games, of course they aren't going to be perfectly realistic. The closest you're going to get is hardcore search & destroy in cod. You get shot, you're dead, and you don't come back.

Airstrikes are not unrealistic, but COD is further from realism than BF in every way. I like both games for what they are, but as a combat veteran I cannot agree with you that COD is any more realistic. In BF3 you can go prone, and the weapons are more realistic, there is no "perks", you can actually climb on things, the maps are larger and more detailed. With that being said COD is much more playable for long term because of the faster pace and shorter games, plus more gametypes.

You CAN go prone in BF3.... It sounds like you played bf3 with a bunch of idiots and didn't give it a chance. The vehicles are very useful. Running at full speed with silent pro and shooting from the hip is very realistic.

BTW i know this is a game thread, but a thank you is in order for actually going out there in real combat. Back to game talk, some of the perks actually make sense in a realistic way. Some people really are faster, can run longer distances, are better at shooting from the hip, are quicker at aiming, etc. than other people. Some of the perks are pretty out there, but others are actual benefits that certain people would have over others. I'm sure you had things that you were better at than most other people. The perks sort of let you make your character unique, and let's you make your person to your strengths.
