Tablet folks inside

I just got a Samsung 8.2(?) tablet and a Galaxy 2S from AT&T. This is my first smart phone and first tablet. I have yet to use the tablet but have really enjoyed the phone so far. I need to find a way to hook a USB or SD/Micro SD to the tablet and I think I would use it more often over my HP netbook that is 2 years old and kicking.

I dont know much about tablets and was looking at the Fire or acer iconia mostly because of the price range $200-250.

Are either of these worth getting?

I have the Iconia A100 and it's very nice. It does all the Kindle Fire can and then some w/out having to hax it.
