I don't see any glaring problems with that build but maybe you need to get better weapons, or upgrade your armor. Once you can start enchanting effects on weapons and armor you should start dying alot less.

          Level 25-ish Warrior-Mage
          Steel Plate Armor (Flawless\Enchanted)
          Skyforge Steel Greatsword (Epic\Enchanted)

          Focused on smithing\enchanting for now.

Got the house in Whiterun and a wife who gives me her money from the store... lol

I am a werewolf, the leader of the Companions guild, and the Arch-Mage at the Winterhold college who can only cast moderate restoration spells... go figure....

Taking it slow and focusing on the side quests...

Oh yea, nothing like leveling up on 2 handed weapons and getting to decapitate some peeps... LOL

I love the kill animations with different weapons. Last night I was killing giants and collecting alchemy ingredients from them. I came up on a camp with two of them, ran up to the first and smacked him once with the sword, and the second hit I got a sweet ass animation where I sliced the back of his knee, he dropped down and I stabbed my sword up and through his face! Then I did it to the other giant as well and stole their toes, LOL. You can also get kill animations on Dragons where you jump up on them and drive your blade through their head. Awesome awesome game

My first character was a one-handed sword/shield and light armor guy. He's lvl 15. I started a second character that's a two-handed sword and heavy armor guy and I'll be damned if I'm not having an easier time with the second character. Also, I just realized yesterday that the game set my default difficulty setting to "Master," which is the highest. Is that how everyone's was set? I'm not going to change it until I have trouble staying alive, but I was just curious.

Yeah, lvl 26 and I have been stealing...pretty much it.

Cleared a few caves (deepwater pass) but I spend alot of time stealing shit so I can build up my income. I also have come across a few weapons worth keeping but other than that I havent joined any group...

I officially broke my game yesterday. Made some potions to fortify smithing and enchanting plus 1331% Then used those potions to make armor with 3xxx something armor rating on the chest piece and about the same on the rest of my armor. Made a few swords with 1939 damage and enchanted a ring with +3800 magic and +3800 magic regen. I one shot everything! I am a GOD! LOL

I can show the link on how to do it if anyone is interested.

Found another dragon animation tonight. Again, you jump on his head, however you slice him about a dozen times instead of just ramming your sword through his head. I switched to 3rd person for the last few hits. Seems to up your chances for an animation.

Once you get a little loop going you really only need to do it 6-7 times. Then make some potions to fortify enchant and potions to fortify smithing. Then you can use those potions later if you wan't. You could even enchant a ring to give you plus xxxx% to alchemy then you don't have to do the loop again later. Also if you do this loop and wear the amulet of Talos you can get your shout regen low enough that you can just have infinite shouts whenever you want. It is kind of gamebreaking if you get too out of hand but I have done pretty much everything on that character and needed something to spice it up.
