Also, I just realized yesterday that the game set my default difficulty setting to "Master," which is the highest. Is that how everyone's was set? I'm not going to change it until I have trouble staying alive, but I was just curious.
my 4th character is on normal. my "main" character is on master due to its gear and shit.

I have been playing on Master with my main guy for a while just to get a challenge, it's still not much of one though. Usually I keep it at normal till they hit the mid 20's or so then bump it up to adept or higher as needed. When you start enchanting and smithing gear this game becomes too easy almost.

Exactly, I can one hit bears/sabers and two shot giants with my warhammer. And I didn't "break" the game by potion chanting/smithing my gear. I have made the point of simply taking mana/stamina on level ups though. No more HP for me.

Ok, so I finally got Steam to work over here and started playing! Badass so far!

Is there a way to restart a quest or auto finish it with a cheat code? I have one quest where I am supposed to go to bleak barrow or something like that and find this scroll. Well before I got this quest I had already been through this area and gotten everthing out. So now it keeps telling me to go pick this scroll up even though I already have it.

Luckily you aren't too far into the game (I hope), I had to revert to an earlier save to fix that "bug"
There are a ton of console commands that may help you out in this, but I don't know them off the top of my head and most are fairly specific.

Anybody get the new DLC today? I think it's called Dragonborn and it takes you to a part of Marrowind. I hear you get to ride dragons in it, but I don't know to what extent.

Yeah, it's cool so far, added new weapons and armor but they are not any better than what I already have so it's not that great in that aspect. I have learned two new shouts and found a greatsword that puts off an explosion when it hits stuff. There are some awesome new characters and the storyline of the DLC is solid so far.

I got tired of playing this on Xbox because of all the quest bugs, as stated with the scroll quest by someone earlier. Does anyone know if they've fixed all that shit on the console yet? If so I might start playing it again because it really was an awesome game.

They've fixed a lot, but they won't fix exploits, so some bugs will remain. It's still fun as hell. I still play it on PS3

I started a new quest last week and so far have gone through all of the College of Winterhold quests and going through Dawnguard right now with no problems.

I think that if you ever run into a bug you can report it to Bethesda and they'll work on a fix.

I don't care about exploits, I only care about picking up a quest item while exploring before I get the actual quest, then not being able to complete the quest or drop the item.

I haven't had that problem. I finished the main storyline of the new DLC today, now I can ride dragons. It was pretty cool, now I just have a ton of exploring to do. I also unlocked a new armor/weapon type that is almost as strong as my daedric and I think it is a little bit lighter.

I have only had a quest loot be inaccessible a couple of times, and they usually just prompt the next action in the quest chain. If you just take whatever action was next, you rock right along. No biggie.
