You can buy them used at gamestop for 129.00 with all the cables and 1 wireless controller, but you'll need to get a harddrive, the price will be different depending on what you want. I would be wary of buying a system off like craigslist or something but Amazon might be ok because they have buyer protection stuff.

I had an old one for like 3-4 years with no issues then one day it just RROD'd but they were good about fixinh it and got it back to me in 1.5 weeks. They are kind of hit and miss.

Usually if the console is modded to run pirated games, those are the ones that get banned. When it comes to cheating on specific games, the game devs ban you from online play temporarily. But that's usually in the first year of a hot game.
