I know I have USB 2.0 capable ports on my box, but my system shows them as NOT being hi-speed ports. In Device Manager, I have two USB controllers listed. One is 2.0, the other is not. When I connect an external drive up to it for file transfers, it tells me to connect it to a 2.0 port and to "click here for a list of available ports." When I click here for a list of available ports, it tells me that I have no Hi-Speed USB ports. I'm needing to copy about 200 gigs worth of shit and don't feel like waiting two days. Any ideas on how to get this working properly? I tried drivers for my MOBO, but the 2.0 drivers just tells me to install SP1 to obtain USB 2.0. I'm on SP3 now, so I guess I need a bit of assistance.

I think I actually got it. Updated the driver for the USB 2.0 host controller and when I disconnected and reconnected the drive, I did not receive that same popup and the files are transferring much faster. Leaving the thread up for future reference.
How much faster is 3.0 than 2.0, by the way?How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?
