Was it a big ticket server? Those seem to crash 10x more frequently. I avoid them.

      So how is it?

I was abandoned by my family this week (they all went on a cruise to Cayman, Jamaica, Cozumel) so I've been doing all the cleaning, dog sitting, etc... and haven't had a chance to fire it up.

Did they ruin it or did EA/DICE finally get something right?

I like it so far, haven't had a chance to check out the new maps because they have been full most of the time. I did notice the tanks are easier to drive and the turret turns faster, got some good points in a tank last night.

I got a chance to play on one of the new maps this morning. I felt like a newb as it was definitely urban warfare with thousands of hiding places. It didn't help that the team I was on had one "good" player. Luckily, I stayed within a couple hundred points of him.

I can't remember which map it was, but it was in-fucking-sanity!! The other team was filled with people who seemed to know that map very well. The dune buggies are sweet, but very fragile. They do take a rollover very well, though. You can get sweet air, but make sure you come off the jump right or you'll land wrong and have to jump out and repair it (or die as it explodes).

I'm not sure how I feel about the start of the game. Each team starts with two objectives captured, but one team starts with 30 more tickets than the other in conquest. The plus side is that you can position several guys at each captured objective from the beginning. The down side is if the team with 30 more tickets just holds down their spots and the other never progresses then they (team with less tickets) lose by attrition.

It is certainly more challenging, for me. This is a good thing, but it does bring about some stress. I wasn't able to kill people as well as other hardcore conquest maps, but I bet I'll get the hang of it before too long. Camo choice will be a MAJOR factor with the map I played.

I like the fact that camo plays a big role in the game. IMO on the desert maps, any sort of desert camo you blend in enormously.

I unlocked the black camo a while back and wanted to put it on my guy because it looked so much cooler. That had me showing up to everyone.

I didn't realize how bad it was at first. I just thought I was sucking it up that bad on this new map. However, I saw someone else that was wearing all black. He was using the buildings and different doorways to move around the map until he got back to his sniping position in a shadow. I was able to track him from 4 streets over up to that point. However, I did a similar tactic and got his dog tags. That is when my game started to get a little better.

He spawns and immediately catches my attention again, but someone else had already spotted me and tracked me down by then. It seriously stuck out like a sore thumb.

The map is one that requires a squad talking or you're doomed.

The spec ops camo lowers your heat signature btw. That's why people use it.

Even more beneficial now that they nuked the IR scope down so much.

choppers, tanks, and IFV's are where the camo really helps.
